Perfect to accompany Tandoori Tofu recipe, but chapatis are not just only for Indian food, they can be used with Falafels, kebabs and as a wrap.

Makes 6 large chapatis

200g plain flour – you can use wholemeal or a mixture of the two
good pinch of salt
100ml water
3 tablespoons British cold pressed extra virgin rapeseed oil

  • Mix all the ingredients with a wooden spoon until combined to form a dough
  • Turnout the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes
  • Cover and rest for 20 minutes
  • Divide into 6 equal pieces and roll them thinly as possible. You will need to put a bit of greaseproof paper between each of the breads so they don’t stick
  • Grill for 2-3 minutes each side

When cooked, stack on a plate with a sheet of kitchen roll between each chapati to keep warm(ish) – bon appĂ©tit
