Powerstock With Fog

Fog again forecast, this time they were right and I left home at 7am ready for sun up. Good thick fog when I arrived and took a few photos as I headed to the gnarly trees. The first (hero image f3.5 1/3s 17mm) was at the first fork in the path.

On the way down the track one of the white deer crossed with others, amazing to see it again. By the time I had reached the gnarly trees the fog had thinned out some, so the atmosphere wasn’t the same. Took a few of a wonderful gnarly oak and then back up the track to photo some more. Unknown to me the other (or the same) white deer ended up in one of the photos I was taking.

Took one of the old trees in the ex-hedge row and then back home. When I posted this on Instagram, there was a comment that it was creepy – I must admit these woodland photos are a bit creepy – so my aim is to brighten the mood of my photos from now on.
