Decided to start writing a blog about my fishing, photography and food exploits – here is blog number 1
A rare free Sunday for me, so headed down to Weymouth for a mooch around. Weather was changeable to say the least, from hail to sunshine, but still with a strong wind dropping the temperature.
Parked along Radipole Park Drive and walked over the railway bridge to Greenhill. The rain clouds had blown over and the sun was out, so some lovely light over the sea, with large container ships on the horizon. (hero image)
Spotted this contrast in colours in front of the Pier Bandstand and included the Catalina woman for more interest.
I chuckled at the number of mobility scooters outside the Russell Hotel.
Walked over to Hope Square and stopped in Pascal’s Brasserie for a coffee and cake. Pascal’s cakes are delicious, well worth a visit to enjoy this mini portal to France.
Rounded Nothe Fort across some dodgy brown weed/alga that grows over the winter there, so slippy. I’m guessing that it the same stuff they make Lava Cake from. Chat to Roger about his boat and into town. The steamed up windows in Coffee One attracted my attention and got this reflection in it. There was a woman sat in the cafe, but she doesn’t really show up that well.
Down came the rain again, I was hoping for a few umbrella disasters in the gusty wind, but none were seen. Rain stopped and back to the car via the Park District.
