Caught the train to London, to see Giselle, the ballet
Walked over the Thames, through Soho into the British Museum
Noisy crocodiles of children weaving through the crowds
We found quiet and rested our weary brows
Onto the hotel, to prepare for the night
Back through Soho to NOPI for dinner and wine
Food was great, but we were rushed and won’t return
Found the Coliseum, seats up with the gods
The performance started, the music was loud, the dancing divine
The second half, ethereal ghosts abound
The most beautiful scenes I have ever found
Over too soon, walk back through the bustling late night throngs
We overslept, late for the breakfast, full English of course
Made our way slowly to the Portrait Gallery
Much quieter here, time to look and admire
Protesters all round, Palestine and feminists blocked our way
Thankfully we reached the train, four hours to home
