Lockdown – Day 30

Up at 2:30am to take a photo of the Lyrid meteor shower, stood there for 45 minutes taking continuous 30 second exposures and didn’t see one shooting star, luckily after checking my images, I spotted one in my first photograph (just above the middle bush) Even at 3:30am still lots of light pollution from Dorchester.

Back to bed and didn’t stir until gone 7:30am, very slow start to the day. First job was to tidy my little shed, which only took me 45 minutes and now I can get into it.

Another glorious day – for the rest of the morning, just relaxed. Walked up to the A35 via Bat’s Lane and back, more relaxing before cooking haddock in beer batter (Jamie Oliver recipe). It wasn’t too bad, but need to lighten that batter, as it was a little heavy.

Evening sat on the step with Martin and Ian, slowly drinking the beer that David gave me. Rather pleasant way to spend a beautiful spring evening.

Total number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths today: 837
