Feeling a tad nervous about tomorrows two teeth extraction, decided on a long walk to distract me.
Parked in Mapperton Village Hall, weather was overcast, but the forecast was for a sunny day. It was wet underfoot from last nights rain, it was actually very pleasant for a walk. Followed my way down and round to the Ancient sweet chestnut tree, it’s very impressive. I now took the right hand path that led me towards North Poorton.
Found an old derelict building, complete with oven and a beautiful fern growing in the main room. The path was well sign posted except for one stretch, thankfully my mapping app came in useful. By now I was down to my t-shirt and getting warmer by the second.
Soon I was climbing up the very steep track up towards Coltleigh Farm and down back to the car. 4.7 miles and a few photos that I’m pleased with, I especially like Jungle and Pole, Cloud and Hill.
