I was picked up at 8am by Alison & Andy, plus Sykes (the dog!). It took us 2 hours to drive to Porlock and we met up with the rest of the Monochrome Group – James, Kate, Cathy & Mike. Before heading out, we enjoyed coffee and cake in the cafe.
Half, including myself headed east towards the marsh and the dead trees. As soon as I saw the beach I made my mind up to stay wandering along here. The weather was fine, with sun at first but clouds soon rolled in and the light went a bit flat.
A great morning and after looking at the photos, only a couple shine out – the single oyster bed and my first shot of the day, the ash leaf. I should have stayed there longer, because there were oak leaves on the beach as well.
We had lunch in the pub (burger) and the weather started to feel heavy and rain started to fall, thankfully it didn’t last long. I made my way west along the beach towards the point, where the cliffs were amazing. I was tired now and just took a phone shot. Made my way back to the car park and everyone was ready to go – a great day and a good place to return to one day.
