The Photowalk 500th Show

I have been following Neale James The Photowalk podcast now for many years and even been away on one of their retreats. Today was the recording of the 500th Show, that will be released on the 12th September. The venue was the infamous Greenham Common, now a nature reserve, but once was the airport for the full muscle of USA’s nuclear arsenal.

I left home at 7:30, the journey was good and I parked up at 9:25. There were several people already milling around, and as 10am approached more and more arrived. Then in came Neale with Mali Davis, Giles Penfound and Neil Ford.

The weather was good as we walked around the common, chatting and taking a few photos. Neale was interviewing us all, one at a time and hopefully mine will come out OK.

When we walked onto the only remaining section of the runway, Neale produced a stash of Garibaldi biscuits – you have to listen to the show if you want to know why.

It was now hot and thankfully time to get our bacon butty from the Control Tower cafe.

I left for home at 13:00, once again the journey was fine and I was home by 16:00.
